Village 30 : Focused - Pole Pole
Village,
I love a goal. But I love having a plan to follow even more. I am someone who creates plans for myself all the time. Having a plan takes away the daily question of “What should I do?” That question can become a barrier of its own. By the time we finish thinking, negotiating, and waiting to feel motivated, the opportunity to act has passed.
So I thought: whenever I create a plan for myself, why not share it with the Village? Someone else may be struggling with motivation, discipline, or consistency and could use a little structure, too.
That is how Village 30: Focused — Pole Pole began.
On Kilimanjaro, I heard those words over and over: pole pole. Slowly, slowly. Keep moving at a pace you can sustain. That is the spirit we are bringing into these next 30 days.
From October 4 through November 2, we will follow a simple daily rhythm:
Begin with 15–20 minutes of Bible reading, devotional reflection, and prayer.
Complete a 45-minute workout of your choice. For the Strict track, add a separate 45-minute nature walk.
Start with 50 jump-rope jumps, adding 50 each day, with modifications when needed.
Meet your personal water goal and cut out added sugar.
End with 10 minutes of worship music and prayer before bed.
I have created a printable calendar so you can see each day’s commitments and check them off as you go.
We will have enthusiastic days and tired days. The plan gives us something to return to on both. If you miss a task, be honest with yourself, learn from it, and show up again.
Thirty days will pass either way. Let’s give those days some intention.

Faith. Fitness. Follow-through.
Pole pole, Village. Let’s do the thing.
