IN THIS STUDY
Week 1 — "In the Beginning" (Genesis 1–2) traces the architecture of creation, establishing who God is before anything else exists. Over seven days, the study moves from the eternal, unhurried God who speaks order out of chaos (Genesis 1:1–2), through the creative power of His word, the repeated declaration that creation is ṭôb (good and fitting), the radical democratization of the Imago Dei in every human being, the sacredness of Sabbath rest, the intimacy of God forming humanity from dust and breathing His own nĕšāmāh into us, and finally the design truth that isolation is the first thing God called "not good" — before sin ever entered the picture. The week establishes the baseline: a God who is present, personal, and deeply invested in what He has made.
